Belcarra is an authentic Irish village in south Mayo, and an ideal base from which to explore the west of Ireland. With a population of 200 souls everybody knows everybody else – and will quickly get to know you also!
Carra Caravan and Camping Park is within 200 metres of a modern convenience store, two welcoming Irish pubs, a craft butcher, takeaway food outlet (open Fri./Sat/Sun eves), Catholic church, motor service garage.
Country walks ( maps provided) are a speciality from this secluded village campsite in Co Mayo's 'tidiest village' in lovely south Mayo.
The Riverside Loop Walk ( 60 mins) through fields and farmlands is especially relaxing. You can visit the Eviction Cottage and Museum en route.
The childrens' playground, village fishery area, tennis court, and Sports Centre ( handball, racquetball and badminton) are popular with our visitors.
We cater for disabled persons and our facilities are newly built. Pets are welcome.
